Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centred on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road goes east to neighbouring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also offers hotels near the BIC – Bournemouth International Centre in the West Cliff area. This convention centre and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre, located next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon that offers far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. The problem with Bournemouth is it is rather run down there are a lot of homeless people sleeping in doorways i think there were rumours of rats in the park but the bus system is brilliant we did go to swanage and Poole shopping overall I would go to Bournemouth again but would not walk about in the darkAAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Bournemouth is beautiful place to visit. From the beautiful golden beaches to the food and places to visit ie Sanbanks, Swanage, Poole etc. I would recommend it has a place to stay. In the summer, it is amazing.

We only stayed one full day, and I will say there is a lot to see and do so a couple days is reccomended. The beach was nice, with some great restaurants and options for bars in town. Because of the glorious weather it was really nice to be able to sit in the garden after the long walk to the beach center of Bournemouth.
