There is plenty to see and do in Dublin itself as well as the outlying areas. Temple bar is a good place to start but be careful as prices can be high in this area. The transport system is adequate with plenty of buses and this is supplemented by the Luis tram service. The fares are quite cheap especially when you look at the prices for buses and trams in England.

Bustling, multicultural city. We took one of the hop on hop off buses and all the drivers were friendly, knowledgeable and witty. Again, the guide at the Castle gave us its history in a very interesting, clever and funny way. We felt safe, engaged and happy in the short time my friend and I were there. Our hotel was at the top of O'Connell Street and we were recommended the Parnell Heritage Pub and Grill on Parnell Street and we weren't disappointed. Relatively easy walking around the centre , Temple Bar and Grafton Shopping full of interesting shops and things to see. I needed a plug in charging unit to accommodate my US devices and where I had previously stayed in SW Ireland, both hotels and supplied same. Gabriel overheard my conversation w one of your desk staff, saw I was mildly annoyed, came up and offered help, to wit: he offered me the use of HIS charger plug in during the duration of my trip. That was gracious and he clearly was a very customer oriented manager. That was extremely appreciated.
